How to Reclaim Your Life: How to Pick Up the Pieces of Your Life and Start Anew, Even When All You Have is Scraps : How to Pick Up thePieces of Your Life and Start Anew,
Even When All You Haveis Scraps!
(Life Lessons I Learned While Quilting)
I once salvaged a throw-away quilt block (originally made fromscraps) to use as a practice block. After many months of practicing on it, oneday I realized it was now a keeper. In this Playshop, I share some of thelessons I learned from this quilt and the process of making it. I also revealhow to turn your own Creative Handwork into Contemplative Handwork.
Here's just a few ofthe lessons I share:
Dont Throw it away just because its NotPerfect.
Lighten up; have some fun and take somerisks with it.
Build on its existing (blah, boring, essential) structure.
Transform the multitude of mistakes withloveliness.
While I tell the story of this quilt, you'llhave a chance to do your own Creative Handwork and turn it into ContemplativeHandwork. You'll experience its gentle, transforming power to heal your lifewhile you're playing.
